I stand in my bathroom staring at items from antiquity- items of nostalgic pop culture documenting, by virtue of their existence, a by-gone era. Little did I know these relics- framed pictures of advertisements from the 1940's for Campbell's Tomato Soup and Life Savers, a sewing tin advertising Singer Sewing Machines- would ironically have such significance now when everything about the very free-enterprise system which allowed for such ingenuity would soon be a thing of the past.
We can say farewell to the economic system built by our forefathers for a free and independant people. In an unprecedented move, on April 2, 2009, Obama quietly agreed to put our capitalist system under the control of Europe via a radical document that calls for a global economic union. The foundation is being laid for a world economic system which will be taken over and controlled in the future by the anti-christ.
My friends, wake up to the signs of the times. We are being ABSORBED.
As I write this, possibly hundreds of thousands are gathering in protest to their govenrnment. Dubbed as "tea parties", this tax day, 2009, both Republicans and Democrats alike, and everyone in between are assembling in opposition to the radical moves the new president has made to spend billions of tax payers' dollars in trying to "save" the system, which also includes increasing the size and scope of government. But don't be fooled...he has planned this intentionally since his community-organizing days. It is a tenet of a socialist government. And he intends to be the dictator at the helm. Making it look like it is what is best for the American people, he breathes platitudes to the masses. But the gap between what Obama says and what he does is astounding. It is time to start examining the actions of this government in light of a scriptural world-view, rather than blindly hoping in its promises.
Because of his recent motions, no longer will the people of these United States of America have the right to life, liberty, or the pursuit of happiness. But rather, your money and my money is going to pay for abortions (including late term) domestically as well as internationally, our money is going to pay for a government that is going out of its bounds in scope as established by the Constitution of the Unites States of America, the very document Obama swore with uplifted hand to protect, so-help-him-God. Since the governement (and any other entity they align themselves with...European Union?) controls the purse strings, they control the people.
We can expect to see deep division in our nation over these and similar issues, we can expect to see more intrusive government into our personal lives and affairs, and persecution by the governement of all those in opposition to the government. Hello? Free speech? Freedom of protest? They have an antidote for that too... called Homeland Security....
Read the latest from the director of homeland security? The govenrnment is on the look-out for "radical right wing extremists" who hold to such ideals as conservative Christian values, the traditional definition of marriage, and life for the unborn. Their tale-tell signs? Do these things shock and surprise you? They shouldn't. We were foretold about this thousands of years ago when God was speaking through His prophets. Many Bible scholars today postulate as to why America is not mentioned anywhere in scripture. The end time scenario doesn't allow for a soverign independant nation whose ideals and principles are based on God and His Word..the concepts held dear in Judeo-Christian principles. No, but we do have an end-time picture in Revelation as well as Daniel of a massive "beast" who appears to be an amalgammation of many different parts. Ten horns and seven heads is the account in Revelation. This system is both political as well as religious (and we can therefore conclude cultural). And where are the faithful followers of the Messiah? This beast system is GIVEN power over all peoples on the face of the earth. See Revelation 13:1 and also Revelation 13:7 where this beast was given power to make "war with the saints and to conquer them". Are we nearing this picture even now? Perhaps we should give a balanced view to potential converts to Christianity of ALL that may be required of them when we present the gospel message? Many followers had their lives required of them~ most of the disciples were martyred. Many considered it a JOY to die for their Lord. "Some faced jeers and flogging, while still others were chained and put in prison. They were stoned, they were sawed in two; they were put to death by the sword... the world was not worthy of them" (Hebrews 11:36-38).
Again, I submit to the reader, with the recent events of the economic collapse and the recent signing over of our free capitalist enterprise to a European power which-forget what I think about it- but itself thinks it is the revived Roman Empire that we are indeed nearing more and more the trying last days before the return of the Messiah. Jesus told us to watch. He told us to let no man deceive us. He told us to not run after those claiming to be "the Christ" in Hebrew "anointed one", whether they be politician or clergyman. But to be faithful until He comes. Will we be willing to die daily to our own desires, yea, even our own politics and Christian end-time world views in order to be obedient and faithful only unto Him and His Word, His Commandments and decrees?- not taking what this world system has to offer us, even if it means giving up our very lives?
If anyone is to go into captivity, into captivity he will go. If anyone is to be killed with the sword, with the sword he will be killed. This calls for patient endurance on the part of the saints. Revelation 13:10.
Expect the tightening grip of this world system and the cultural pressure to embrace it to become increasingly up close and personal. Some of you may even be persecuted and turned in by members of your own family..."Christian" members.
Please do not misunerstand me...I am not proposing a political agenda. I do not have designs to raise up a revolution of the flesh. Just as in the days of Jesus, there will be those who will be a part of such things. We must be wise as serpents in the coming days and be thoughtful about whom we align ourselves with. What I am interested in is in preparing myself and the saints of God for what is to come...and shortly. My interest is in waking the followers of Messiah Yeshua from their slumber and to see with clarity the big picture, to forsake all sins of the flesh- ungodliness, idolatry, pride. To live is Messiah. To die is gain. Shouldn't we be practicing everyday by dying to self and living according to His decrees? May you be blessed with the wisdom, knowledge, and the patiently-enduring faithfulness which we will be called upon to exhibit in the near future.

Late in the Day
Get ready. Because it is late in the day.
Bible-prophecy-speaking. End-times speaking. Days to end all days speaking.
All one has to do is read any non-major media outlets news (and I emphasize the word non-major) to see that world events are happening at such a rate it is difficult to keep up with all of them.

That is.....until it is either removed or censored bythe powers that be, whether at Google, the FCC under the current administration and the return of the Fairness Doctrine, or some other power given to the NWO by FEMA or some other shadow government. No, I am not a conspiracy theorist, (unless you are talking about the original conspiracy as outlined in the book of Genesis). I am just an American Christian who is waking up from a long slumber of distraction and deception....
Today, I would like to talk about a new perspective in the fulfillment of the One World Goverment and One World Religion. Put away your cheesy made-for Christians- rapture movies and the theories they spout as to how the anti-christ will arise. For I am about to tell you that he is already here. His vehicle has been in place for over a decade and the influence it is exerting over our culture as well as our government is disconcerting.
Many Americans are emotionally sick over the state of the economy in our country, as well as the rise of socialism and fascism which we could see coming a mile away since before election day. This country is in a constitutional crisis right now. The quibble over the elegibility of Obama to hold office per his birth certificate- or lack therof- is a minor issue in this crisis, although it does say a lot to how little the leaders (almost ALL of them) in our country care about the constituion which they swore with uplifted hand to protect. When I saw Obama, then all of his staff raise their hand and swear to protect the constitution, I shouted, yes, shouted at the tv screen "LIARS!!!! ALL LIARS!!" How dare they treat with disdain, the blood of men and women who have died in order to protect that unique and special document by which all of our freedoms given by God Almighty are protected in this land.
But I digress....
My friend, we have been sold up the river by private bankers and by politicians paying off thse private bankers for political favors and position. Our rights to privacy have been chipped away at, and we cannot point the finger at former President Bush and the Patriot Act, for all that did was make official what the government had already been doing since the Clinton Administration....spying on the American people. Wire-tapping was something Slick Willey was doing back when a penant for the Texas Rangers was a gleam in George Bush's eye.
Now we must look to the ones who have real power in the world. Ones who would not think twice about weilding it over us, as a slave owner wields his whip. I am talking about the WEU (Western European Union) and the massive global agenda they have, not only to dictate what is done in the European Union itself, but in the Middle East as well- including the pan Arab states and...yes, you guessed it~ Israel.
Last week, Javier Solana threatened the new Israeli government under Benjamin Netanyahu to accept a two state solution or else (in not so many words). This is the first time such a tone has been taken with the Israeli government in recent years concerning an outside "broker for peace", and with such a staunch defender of Israel's soveriegnty (Netanyahu) ...the Good 'Ol Mr Huggie (that is what they call Solana) is showing his true colors. This is exaclty what he had in mind when he brokered the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership for Peace. Sound familiar? I bet you didn't catch that on Fox News. Sounds alot like the "North American Parnership for Peace", does it not? Googe that.
If you look at a map describing the aforementioned document (EUROMED Partnership for Peace) , and set it up side by side with a map of the Old Roman Empire straight from the back of your Bible, you will see that they look identical. Broker for peace, Hmm??....
They way the EU is going to bring about their global agenda is partly (or at least at the present) due to an idea called "Global Governance". I did not say "Global GOVERNMENT". This is where you have to put aside the images you have of the anti-christ taking control of the nations a la Hitler from those old end-times videos produced by Christian ministries in the 80's and 90's.....this is why I say it is already here. Global Governance does not come in like Chuck Norris in a china shop, the way we would describe "global government". No, it is much more insidious than that. What Global Governance does is it weilds its influence as just that...influence. Much more diplomatic. Much more subtle. If a nation can come under the influence of the ideas and values of the One-World System, no force is needed only compliance in local areas (a la the Old Roman Empire). This is exactly how Solana expects to gain the reigns of current soverign nations. Such priming of the masses has already come through our popular culture...media, arts, entertainment, gorup-think, evolution and it's assumptions of the origins of life, or lack thereof, which is programmed in to our citizens daily through the public school system, and of course, the dumming-down of American citizenry to where the next generation is so fixated in their toys- playing Guitar Hero, whilst they are led to the slaughter.
Global Governance is scary. It is legislation at mere suggestion. It is offering the nations of the world to join in the status and benefits of the European Union by offering them "Neighborhood Status"as opposed to "Member status" complete with econimic, trade and security benefits, and in return, expecting local, state, and nation level compliance.
And right about now, we could use some help in those areas, wouldn't you say??
What would you need in order to create a police state? Only the cooperation of local police and fire departments to comply with an overriding order or legislation to "keep the peace', and then an ensuing atmosphere of chaos and destruction, so that ordinary citizens will gladly give over their individual and inalienable rights. What kind of events could we imagine that could possibly precipitate such an ordeal??? Anyone? Anyone? Beuller? How about: food and water shortage, disinfranchisement of the classes (as in what socialism brings), mass political unrest followed by the organization of factions and in-fighting leading to civil war (as what the current constitutional crisis could muster), and oh, wait a minute, any natural or man-made disaster or perceived disaster FEMA would deem necessary to institute their emergency powers which they already have!! Any one of these scenarios, or a combination of them and we would be crying out begging for relief from outside sources. Either that, or they would come so insidiously and we would already be so stremlined into compliance, that we would hardly know what was happening.
My friend, we are a bit distracted. Boy, isn't that the understatement of the year?! And it is late in the day.
But none of these events have taken God off guard. Nor have they taken Him off of the throne. He forewared us about them in the books of Daniel, Revelation, and the gospels to name a few(during what's referred to as the Olivet Discourse- see Matthew chapter 24 among others). When these books are lined up in what the Hebrew perspective of Bible study calls "parallelism", one can see that the order in which events of the last days are mentioned is no coincidence. Nor is it any accident. Jesus mentioned even the order of world events prior to the end- all according to this way of organization. Now, for this persepective, I am going to stamp on many people's theological toes. For the Bible in it's entirety, when studied form a Hebrew perspective (in which it was given), only talks about ONE RESURRECTION, and that after many of these events I have been describing to you have already happened. (!!) Many warnings are there for believers as well. I won't get into the fact that the Bible does not contain a phrase called "the Great tribulation" in the sense that many pre-trib Christians have been taught. That is a man-made tradition. No, it is all in the context of Daniel's 70th week and there is no splitting up of believers to rapture some now and some later. What I will say is this....for those who have ears to hear, eyes to see, and a heart that perceives, we are already in the throws of birth pangs that will bring about the Day of the Lord (which is a day of Judgement where every man and every nation will have to give an account to God Almighty).
It is late in the day. I urge anyone who has any inkling of studying Bible end-time prophecy, to do so in the context of the entire bible as understood from the Hebrew perspective. For that is the perspective in which it was written. In order to do so, you may have to have your "lenses" cleansed of Western gentile Chritsitanity where it departs from this perspective. And that perspective does not allow for lawlessness. So put away your ideas that you can live how you want, do what you want, celebrate what you want (did I say that out loud to my Easter/Christmas-loving bretheren?!) , continue to violate the commandments of God and still be counted among his people who are separated out of the nations as those who do not take the mark of the Beast (antichrist and his world system). We already see the constructs in place for all power to be handed over to him. We even have an educated guess as to who he is. But only those who refuse to bow down to idols (remember Daniel who kept himself pure, not eating contaminated food from the king's table and who refused to bow down to the image of Nebuchadnezzar- the anti-christ of his day?) but remain faithful to the Lord til the end will be saved out of the coming deception. Some of us may have to pay for that faithfulness with our lives....not be raptured out of it.
If my writing is not concise, neat, pretty, or spelled right, it is because I am writing feverishly and frantically while my son sleeps. Then when he wakes, my real work, my important work begins. Because it is late in the day......

Why My Child is a Miracle
One time, a ruler was pontificating with an advisor. He asked if there was a God, what would be the proof of his existence?
The advisor responded thoughfully, "The existence of the Jews".
In the Beginning
The descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, nowadays referred to as the Jews, were a unique people about which God said he would bless and all nations through them would be blessed:
The Lord had said to Abram, "Leave your country, your people and your father's household and go to the land I will show you.
I will make you a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you". (Genesis 12;1-3)
God promised Abram that he would become a great nation, that his descendants would be as numerous as the stars and as the sands of the sea. God changed the name of Abram to "Abraham", meaning father of a multitude (of nations).
God also promised Abram that he would grant him land that would be an inheritance to his offspring (Genesis 12:7; ratified through blood covenant in Genesis 15). The land would be an inheritance to the descandants of Abraham, through his offspring Isaac and Jacob, forever. God ratified this covenant in a unilateral blood covenant while Abraham was asleep. This is to indicate that God Himself would bear the brunt of the covenant and make sure it would be fulfilled (after all, Abraham was in a deep sleep when God did this. See Genesis 15:9-21).
God also prophesied to Abram that his descendants would be slaves in a nation not their own (Egypt) for 400 years. Moreover, through later prophecies in Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Ezekiel, God also told the Israelites that they would be taken captive and scattered to the far corners of the earth and into every nation for serving idols rather than serving the Lord their God who brought them up out of Egypt and out of slavery. This did indeed happen.
But here is the catch: God also promised to bring them back from captivity and into their own land, the land God swore to their father Abraham. God made many promises to Israel which have been fulfilled in history.
No other nation or people group on the face of the earth has existed that was decimated by their enemies, then were re-gathered to become a people group again. No other group was taken over by their enemies, scattered to the four corners of the earth, then came back to their land with their language restored! This could only be described as a miracle.
The definition of a miracle is: any amazing or wonderful occurrence; a marvellous event manifesting a supernatural act of a divine agent.
The fact that God prophecied the future over a period of thousands of years through various people and that many of those prophecies have already come to fruition is quite miraculous. It declares that there is One author of the scriptures, one who is supernatural and who exists outside of time. Furthermore, the way those scriptures are arranged in the Hebrew language to where certain messages are encoded beneath the text (and still make sense at the surface of the text), indicates that the authorship of the Word of God itself is none other than the One who causes all things to be fulfilled.
Moreover, the regathering of the Jews into their own land and the restoration of them as a people is nothing short of a miracle.
The fact that my son is one of those physical descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, is nothing short of a miracle. For all intents and purposes, my son should not be living on the face of this earth! If evil men had their way, my son's ancestors would have been decimated long ago through not one, but two captivites, a slew of wars, and countless acts of persecution throughout the centuries (remember the Crusades, and the Spanish Inquisition?- all attempts at wiping out the Jews).
During World War II, as many as 1/3 of world Jewry were destroyed in the horrors of the Nazi concentration camps, when Hitler attempted to wipe off every Jew from the face of the earth. They were stripped of their citizenship, women were raped, and Jews were locked in their synagogue with it set on fire whilst their enemies marched around singing Christian songs. I seriously doubt those people were real Christians. The Jews were imprisoned, many of them, an estimated 6 million total were gassed and burned in the crematoriums. Unspeakable horrors happened to this people. All because (and only because) they were Jewish. Even still, God caused the Jews to survive and not only survive, but come back to...you guessed it, the Land of Canaan (modern-day Israel) and become a nation. This too was prophesied thousands of years before it happened:
"Before she goes into labor, she gives birth; before the pains come upon her, she delivers a son. Who has ever heard of such things? Can a country be born in a day or a nation be brought forth in a moment? Yet no sooner is Zion in labor than she gives birth to her children" (Isaiah 66:8) (emphasis mine).
When was the fulfillment of this prophecy? On May 14, 1948, after Israel had been scattered to the four corners of the earth, Israel the nation was re-born! She was recognized by the United Nations and she was once again her own sovereign nation.
From that point on, and up til this day, millions of Jewish people have emigrated (the term is to make 'aliyah') to the land of Israel, the nation. This is in fulfillment of many prophecies, including Jeremiah 16:14-16-
"However, the days are coming", declares the Lord, when men will no longer say, 'As surely as the Lord lives, who brought the Israelities up out of Egypt', but they will say, 'As surely as the Lord lives who brought the Israelites up out of the land of the north and out of all the countries where he had banished them'. For I will restore them to the land I gave their forefathers".
This is the scripture the Lord gave me after an intense time of prayer during which He showed me the work I would be doing in my then-upcoming trip to Russia. While on my face, the Lord showed me a vision of a map of Russia and myself behind a group of people- Jews- pushing them up north, over Finland, and south into Israel. I said in my heart, I have never heard of such a thing. I asked the Lord to confirm this to me in His Word if it was true. I opened my Bible. It fell open to Jeremiah 16 and my eyes fell on verses 14-16. The land of the north, Russia, is the land referenced in the above passage, for the land of Russia is directly north of Israel. The Lord had shown me we would be routing Jews up out of St. Petersburg, Russia, by way of Finland, south to Israel, their new home.
In October of 1998, we did just that. Now, dozens of Jews are living safely in Israel, due to the work we did in Russia.
What a profound way for me to see Bible prophecy coming true before my very eyes!!
Implications
You know why I think the truths I have just explained to you are so far-reaching and impacting, even unto our own lives right now?
Because it is further proof that God means what he says. He has kept his word concerning the Jewish people. He will keep his word concerning your life and my life as well.
Either God is right and true and He will keep all of His word, as the fulfillment of these prophecies indicates, or he is a liar and is untrustworthy. If you say that God is true and His word is trustworthy, then the logical conclusion you must come to is that even what God says about sin and salvation is true as well.
It says in 1 Corinthians 6:9 that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God. And it lists the immoral behavior of those who will not be inheriting the kingdom. But then it says in verse 11 "And that is what some of you were". What happened? They repented and believed in Jesus Christ, God's only son and his death on the cross as the provision for their sins. They realized the truth of God's word as stated in Romans 6:23, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord." The word wages in this verse means the same as payment.
And in Romans 3:23 it says "For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus". Jesus himself said, "I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the father but through me" (John14:6). He didn't say I am a way, or a life, as in one amongst many ways to get to God. What He said was pretty exclusive.
Jesus was the lamb of God prophecied throughout the entire Old Testament (or what we Messianic Jews refer to as the First Covenant.) Just look at how Isaiah prophecied the Messiah's coming in Isaiah 53:4-6:
Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.

Isaiah could have only been talking of one person: the one who would take away the sins of the world. (John the baptist, or immerser declared this about Jesus of Nazareth. And Jesus' own words declared himself to be the one who would do this.)
The fact of the matter is this: every man on the face of the earth has sinned (transgressed God's moral law as outlined in the 10 Commandments, Deuteronomy chapter 20. Jesus explained further how strict God's law is: if you have so much as looked at a woman with lust in your heart, you have committed adultery. If you so much as hated someone in your heart, you have committed murder (from God's point of view). Ever told a lie...even a little one? Then according to God's strict standard, you have bore false witness. Who amongst us has done that? I sure have!! And no one who has sinned in this life will be permitted to enter Heaven when he or she dies. Nothing unclean or unholy can enter Heaven. Because God is a just God, like the judge of a court, a payment must be made to pay for these sins (every one of them) if you are to enter into His Heaven.
Good News Indeed!
The Good news is......(that is why they call it 'gospel' the word means good news) that that debt for your sins has already been paid!!
By whom?! By God Himself!! In 1 Peter 3:18 it says, "Christ died for sins once for all". You see, to fulfill God's righteous requirement to pay man's sin debt, God Himself came in the flesh. His name is Jesus (Yeshua in Hebrew). He lived a sinless life so he could fulfill God's requirement for a sinless sacrifice (read about the Passover lamb Exodus 12). He then took our punishment on himself. That is why if you accept Jesus' death on the cross as payment for your sins and repent (turn from the way you have been doing things toward God's way of doing things), and follow Jesus, then on the day of Judgement, which will be attended by every human being who ever lived, God can commute your death sentence (eternity in hell), and allow you into Heaven. We don't have to pay the sin debt. We couldn't anyway even if we tried. But we are required to accept what was already done for us. Not only that, but we get to have a close personal relationship with God, who loves us much he knows (at any given moment!) how many hairs are on your head! We get to enjoy fellowship with Him, know his truth, as well as the abundant (full and meaningful) life Jesus came to bring us. If that weren't enough, we get to spend eternity in Heaven with God and have every tear wiped from our eyes, free from emotional and physical pain forever. And forever is a looong time. What could be better news than that?!
It is not a church you join. In fact many churches do not follow after Messiah or walk in the truth. It is not a list of rules and regulations you have to follow in order to be good enough. You could never be good enough to meet God's requirements. In fact, no one should think he must first go and get cleaned up before coming to God or following Jesus! There is no need. Simply believe that he already paid for your salvation, start walking with him by talking to him everyday (praying), and let him change your heart. That's all. Read his letters to you (the Bible) and find out more about him, who he is, things that please him and the things that don't, and he will guide you, as a loving Father; giving your life meaning and giving you a destiny you could never have even dreamed of on your own. And don't forget to ask God to lead you to a group of believers as well so you can grow in His grace. All believers need to fellowship with other believers to be strengthened and to realize our gifts, callings, and destiny in the Messiah.
But don't delay! Jesus warned about the folks who were distracted by the cares of this life that they didn't come to Him when they first heard. The truth is, none of us knows exactly how much time we have on this earth. And why would you want to delay such a wonderful existence anyway?
This is the reason I am so excited to know that God is who He says He is and the reason I can know His Word is true. That is why everytime I look into the precious brown eyes of my son- the ones he inherited from his father's side, his Jewish ancestors.....I think of how faithful our God is and how He always keeps his word!

In the Beginning
The descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, nowadays referred to as the Jews, were a unique people about which God said he would bless and all nations through them would be blessed:
The Lord had said to Abram, "Leave your country, your people and your father's household and go to the land I will show you.
I will make you a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you". (Genesis 12;1-3)
God promised Abram that he would become a great nation, that his descendants would be as numerous as the stars and as the sands of the sea. God changed the name of Abram to "Abraham", meaning father of a multitude (of nations).
God also promised Abram that he would grant him land that would be an inheritance to his offspring (Genesis 12:7; ratified through blood covenant in Genesis 15). The land would be an inheritance to the descandants of Abraham, through his offspring Isaac and Jacob, forever. God ratified this covenant in a unilateral blood covenant while Abraham was asleep. This is to indicate that God Himself would bear the brunt of the covenant and make sure it would be fulfilled (after all, Abraham was in a deep sleep when God did this. See Genesis 15:9-21).
God also prophesied to Abram that his descendants would be slaves in a nation not their own (Egypt) for 400 years. Moreover, through later prophecies in Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Ezekiel, God also told the Israelites that they would be taken captive and scattered to the far corners of the earth and into every nation for serving idols rather than serving the Lord their God who brought them up out of Egypt and out of slavery. This did indeed happen.
But here is the catch: God also promised to bring them back from captivity and into their own land, the land God swore to their father Abraham. God made many promises to Israel which have been fulfilled in history.
No other nation or people group on the face of the earth has existed that was decimated by their enemies, then were re-gathered to become a people group again. No other group was taken over by their enemies, scattered to the four corners of the earth, then came back to their land with their language restored! This could only be described as a miracle.
The definition of a miracle is: any amazing or wonderful occurrence; a marvellous event manifesting a supernatural act of a divine agent.
The fact that God prophecied the future over a period of thousands of years through various people and that many of those prophecies have already come to fruition is quite miraculous. It declares that there is One author of the scriptures, one who is supernatural and who exists outside of time. Furthermore, the way those scriptures are arranged in the Hebrew language to where certain messages are encoded beneath the text (and still make sense at the surface of the text), indicates that the authorship of the Word of God itself is none other than the One who causes all things to be fulfilled.
Moreover, the regathering of the Jews into their own land and the restoration of them as a people is nothing short of a miracle.
The fact that my son is one of those physical descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, is nothing short of a miracle. For all intents and purposes, my son should not be living on the face of this earth! If evil men had their way, my son's ancestors would have been decimated long ago through not one, but two captivites, a slew of wars, and countless acts of persecution throughout the centuries (remember the Crusades, and the Spanish Inquisition?- all attempts at wiping out the Jews).

The Blood, the Covenant, and the Last Days Part 2
The Last Days
D'ya ever get the sense that we are hurdling toward something at the speed of light? You can almost sense something in the air that is gaining in intensity and fervency. Something urgent. Something inescapable.
If you are like me, you like to know what is going on in the world around you. If you are like me, you don't just want sound bites of reality or a skewed picture told by the media...you want the TRUTH. Even, as Jack Nicholson said, if you can't handle the truth.
Believe it or not, the Bible talks more about the last days before the Messiah comes, than any other time period in history. Not just the book of Revelation, but the First Covenant as well, (which most recognize as the 'Old Testament'), the books of Daniel, Ezekiel, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Zechariah, are fraught with prophecies concerning the last days of the earth before the Messiah is to appear on the earth when "every eye" shall see Him (Rev 1:7b).
But what is to happen before then is of the utmost importance to us. Especially to us as followers of Yeshua, (Jesus) the Messiah. Yeshua Himself warned his followers that certain things would take place "...then the end will come". What were these things he said to be looking out for? And what do the scriptures have to say about these things?
When I was graduating high school and starting college, the first Gulf War was beginning in the phase of Operation Desert Shield, then Operation Desert Storm. I will never forget the feeling I had as I watched our troops enter Iraq on the news- a sense that something was culminating in the atmosphere...something very important. Something that would crescendo in a most significant pinnacle in the history of man. I knew that lines were being drawn in the sands somehow and I knew that I had to make a concsious choice as to which side I was going to be on. My friend, from what I have been reading in the Bible and what I have been discerning spiritually, we are upon that time NOW.
Like myself, many of you are witnessing the shaking that is going on in our world, starting with the economic meltdown of nations. You might be sensing that something major is happening and is about to happen. These things should get our attention so that we perk up and heed the Word of God, the many prophecies told over a period of thousands of years through many different prophets, yet all having the same message. All painting the same picture. Are you ready to hear now? He who has an ear, let him hear....
Telling Events
In the book of Matthew chapter 24, we have the most complete picture painted by Jesus as to what would signify the end. His disciples were calling attention to the majesty of the Temple in Jerusalem and Yeshua told them something shocking...He said, "..not one stone will be left on another".
The disciples then asked Jesus when will it happen and what would be the sign of his coming and of the end of the age. Jesus then begins to tell them what the geopolitical landscape would look like: wars and rumors of wars, nation (or people group) will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. By the way, America is about ready to become as obsolete as a DOS program on a 1980's Apple computer! Politicians are already obsolete, because world power is now held by the ones who have real money and influence- corporations and shadow governments. More on that later. Jesus said in Matthew there will be earthquales and famines in various places. He also said these things would be the beginnings of birth pains.
Have you ever seen a woman go into labor? Now, I'll tell ya, I had a C-section with my son, but I had what was the beginning of contractions before they wheeled me into the O.R. Even the beginning of labor pains for me was not pleasant, but rather concerning. And from the screams from the lady down the hall (yes...SCREAMS!) I could tell what the future would have held for me had I experienced natural childbirth: the pain starts and then increases incrementally in frequency and intensity. And then there is no escape whatsoever until whatever is being birthed has been completed. Such is the analogy Jesus was giving His followers. In the beginning, it is noticeable, then it soon becomes inescapable. What does this mean for those who are caught unawares? The Bible compares THIS to being the victim of a thief in the night.
1 Thessalonians 5:2 puts it this way: "...for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. While people are saying, 'Peace and safety', destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape".
What is the "Peace and safety" that people are saying? I used to think that it meant what the political leaders were saying to reassure their constituents. That may be partly true. Now I have come to understand that it is a grand delusion of peace and comfort, while the enemy of your soul is arising in power and might to deceive and distract the whole world, much as a cunning snake sneaks up on the happless field mouse who is enjoying his cheese in the warm sunshine, he is gaining his grip on the whole world and most people are not even aware of what is really going on.
I recently saw the movie "Defiance" starring Liev Shreiber and Daniel Craig, which is based upon a true story of a group of brothers who led hundreds of Jews in the resistance during World War II. They lived in the forest for years and fought off their would-be captors. I was reminded about how at the time, many Jews were thinking freedom was just "on the other side". Many were saying, "Why should I believe the rumors of the death camps and those mass graves? People are just paranoid". Meanwhile, sadly, for many, it was too late. The enemy had already begun tightening his grip. Millions perished as a result of a demonic plot to destroy God's chosen people and to discredit the Most High God and His Word.
Today we are all so focused on our daily grind, our own interests and pleasures, that, for most, a sinister plan to draw you away would go unnoticed. Headlines of the truth fly by your face and you keep scrolling down the web page. You may dismiss many truths as being "conspiracy theories" because of the desensitization of tv world and the criticisms which are hurled toward people who have a different world view than those offered on the nightly news or your favorite sitcom and have numbed you to what is really going on.
My friend, just like Neo in the movie the Matrix, is it possible you are plugged in to a world that is so deluded, so upside down, where good is called evil and evil good, that you have lost the ability to discern what is really going on? I certainly was. I had a mixture of views from Christendom and conservative America that did NOTHING to cleanse my lenses thus making me able to see the truth of the future that God had predicted centuries ago. Deception is even so rampant in the church world. I really have begun to see what Jesus meant when he told his followers, "Watch out that no one deceives you." (Matthew 24:4).
So I have started to get back to what the Word of God says. I started to "unplug" from the system this world has to offer, which is passing away. And the blinders began falling off.
Believe it or not, it really started to begin once I turned off (literally 'unplugged') the boob tube. And opening my Bible.
If you are waking up to the fact through the shaking that is beginning to happen that this world in its present state is passing away, then my friend, I would encourage you to get a different view of the situation. Don't take your friends' or your relatives' word for it, don't even blindly follow the doctrines of your particular church or denomination, but rather, see for yourself what the Word of God has to say. After all, the prophets predicted down to the very day that Jesus would be born. They also predicted His second coming. Here is a sure foundation...here in God's Word is truth and light. And in the coming months and years, we will see things which we may have thought were not possible, especially living in America, things that will make the Great Depression and the first Civil War look like Disneyland!! How do I know?- You ask..... it was predicted years ago. But more importantly, if you want to know the outcome....don't even take my word for it! Read it for yourself. Dust off your Bible and begin to read and see for yourself. I can highlight some of the things on this blog to draw your attention to some of the things that are going on. But I encourage you to seek a relationship with God yourself. And take heed to Jesus' words that "many will be decieved" (Matthew Matthew 24:5b)(emphasis by this blogger). Don't want it to be you? Then get serious. Become a diligent student of the scriptures. If you would like some resources to get you going, I will post some links at the end of this blog. 25 Things
I have seen a few of my friends' 25 lists and have enjoyed each one and learning things about my friends which I did not know. I will attempt to do likewise. Please feel free to leave me your list in the comments section!
1. I collect fat chefs for my kitchen.
2. I met my husband online. I kept him in the "friend" category for a year because I felt we didn't have "chemistry". We were engaged 3 and a half months.
3. I met Princess Fergie (the real one, not the pop singer) when I was in England in 1990.
4. My favorite of all plants and flowers is the weeping willow tree.
5. I think my husband looks like a cross between Steve Martin and Robin Williams.
6. I nicknamed my son "Cherry Bean" when I was pregnant because the online tracker said he was between the size of a coffee bean and a cherry.
7. I left Bible college because of anti-semitism.
8. When I was young, I was too overweight to fit into Guess jeans.
9. My mom was a radio disc jockey for around 20 years. Consequently, I know the lyrics to many of the classic rock songs of the 70's and 80's.
10. I went skydiving twice when I was 18. Understanding what I understand now about the immutable spiritual laws of the universe, I look back on that in sheer terror knowing had I fallen and died, I would have been looking at the wrong side of the pearly gates. But the experience in itself was fun.
11. If I were stranded on an island, (I'd like to think) I could live on chocolate and egg nog.
12. While teenagers, my brother and I could look at eachother and know what the other was thinking. We still can to a certain degree.
13. I hate raspberries. Even the smell makes me sick to my stomach.
14. My family (mom's side) has their own language based upon a combination of baby-talk and comic routines from the 1980's.
15. My first Cabbage Patch doll was a boy my father bought from a co-worker during the "rage". I later got a girl. Both had brown hair and brown eyes. I "knew" they were adopted from the Soviet Union. My son looks a lot like the boy doll did. Many of my son's ancestors are from Russia.
16. I like to go grocery shopping.
17. I helped Jews escape persecution in Russia in 1998.
18. I love to have my hair played with and have even fallen asleep at the hairdresser's.
19. Dennis Prager IS my intellectual hero.

21. My father's grandfather looked like Geronimo (Native American). I've only seen him in pictures.
22. I have written 3 plays (none of them spectacular), a handful of poems, and a short story. Of all, the short story was the best~ it was based on my family told from a child's point of view. I had 1 poem published. It was the worst of them all.
23. I am a sucker for a good sense of humor.

Swallow Your Tears!
I have just been absolutely tired lately. Too tired to blog. And busy. Today my status report was "You know you're extremely busy when you pick up the computer mouse to make a phone call"! Ain't that the truth? ( I really did that, by the way).
But I do have to depart from my usually serious blogs today to say that Benjamin has been doing this incredibly hilarious and precious thing lately where he literally "Gulps" (swallows) his tears to stop himself from crying! I will say, "Stop crying...use your words" and he goes "GULP" and immediately swallows his crying! Ha Ha! It looks to me like it really takes a lot of effort too. Today I noticed him doing it even when I do not tell him to. He will just start crying, realize he is doing it (and perhaps that it will not get him what he wants), then GULP!! He stops.
Talk about the epitome of learning "SELF CONTROL"!!!
All I could say was, "Please, Lord~ don't let it be just a passing phase!!"

The Blood, the Covenant, and the Last Days Part 1
The Blood
Here are some of my thoughts on the Blood.
The blood is a topic that is central to the Bible. Believe it or not, God talks a lot about blood in His Word. It is central to understand the blood from the bible's point of view in order to understand salvation, the Christian faith, as well as the Jewish faith. Let's look at some things about blood from God's Word:
*The life of a creature is in its blood. (Leviticus 17:11).
*The blood of Abel "cried out" from the ground after his brother Cain killed him. (Genesis 4:10)
*Women were separated from their families when they had their menses. If anyone touched them, they would have to wash and would not be clean until evening. (Note: it is not as though the woman had done something wrong and was therefore separated. Rather, it was considered 'unclean' to touch a woman in the sense that to touch her during her period was considered 'taboo', such as sexual relations. It was actually a nice break for the wife!~ what a kind God). The Jewish scholars say that life is so precious to God, that when a woman has her period and that even the potential for life that month is lost, (as what happens when the egg is not fertilized and is therefore flushed out of the body), it is a time of mourning. Thus the pause and separation.
*Often, a covenant was made and then sealed in blood. This was called "cutting covenant".
*Without the shedding of blood, there can be no forgiveness of sin (Hebrews 9:22 ).
*God made the first animal sacrifice to cover the sins of Adam and Eve after they fell (Genesis 3:21). He used the animal's skins to cover them.
*The blood sacrifice was instituted to cover the sins of the people of Israel as a provision for them WHEN THEY BROKE THE LORD'S COMMANDMENTS.
*The high priest would enter the Holy of Holies once a year on the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur) and sprinkle the blood of the sacrificed lamb on the mercy seat (which was a type of container housing items such as the 10 Commandments written in stone). The high priest did this in order to atone for the sins of the people for that year.
*Although sacrifices were mandated, God does not take delight in the blood of goats and bulls. This is a hint that something greater was needed. (Isaiah 1:11).
*The animals that were offered up as a sin offering had to be spotless and without blemish. You could not even approach God without an offering.
*Yochanan (John) the Immerser (baptist) proclaimed about Yeshua of Nazareth: "Behold the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world" (John 1:29).
*Though Yeshua was human, He was also God in the flesh (for He said, 'If you have seen me, you have seen the Father') and He was sinless in every way (spotless and without blemish) (1 Peter 1:19 ).
*Yeshua told His disciples during the Passover Seder (last supper) that they must drink of His blood and eat of His flesh (John 6:56), thus meeting the requirement that each and every man must take Messiah into himself and and continue abiding in Him in order for that man's sins to be forgiven- in this way accepting the blood covenant for himself. It is not enough to just believe in God, for the Bible says that even the demons believe and tremble~ but they are obviously not going to Heaven. The wine in the Passover symbolized the blood of the lamb and is what Yeshua used to symbolize this new covenant. (Jesus Himself, who is our Passover Lamb, fulfilled the Passover Feast so that the angel of death may 'pass over' us who have accepted His covenant in blood).
*The blood of Yeshua, the Son of God, was God's ONLY provision for man's sins throughout all of history- before Yeshua came, the blood of bulls and goats only pointed the way to this future ultimate sacrifice. When the people obeyed God in sacrificing the animals for the covering of sin, God credited it to them. It was never meant to be an endless statute. It was also so the people would recognize Messiah when He came.
*After Yeshua died on the execution stake, the curtain in the Temple was rent in two, opening the way to the Holy of Holies. No longer was it necessary for a high priest to enter God's presence on behalf of the people. Yeshua became our High Priest, and the ONLY mediator between God and man. (1 Timothy 2:5)
*When Yeshua died on the stake, he declared "It is finished". He did not do away with God's commandments, as many Christian teachers suppose. Rather, He did away with the need for a blood sacrifice.
I find it very interesting that modern science is continually proving that God's word is true. For instance, in the 1960's, scientists found that the most basic sub-atomic particle which all matter consists of in the universe is the quark. What makes up this infantesimile form of matter, holding everything in the universe together, you ask? SOUND WAVES. This confirms Genesis chapter 1, "God said, 'Let there be'"... and there was.
Also, the Bible talks about man and woman and how the "two shall become one flesh". We in our post-modern internet age we must consider that just a lifetime ago, science had not yet proven that we get half of our genetic material make-up from our father, and half from our mother. (In fact, the wife of royalty was often to blame for not producing a male heir, when the sex of a child, we now know, is determined by the father.) Furthermore, a person receives 23 chromosomes from his father, 23 from his mother, (a total of 46 chromosomes) and 1 extra from his father if he is male (the Y chromosome). So every human who does not have a genetic disorder has 46 or 47 chromosomes, depending on their sex.
There is a little known amateur archaelogist by the name of Ron Wyatt who, in the 1970's and 1980's conducted archaeological digs in the Middle East. Amongst some of his claimed findings are the site of Noah's Ark, the true site of Mt. Sinai, as well as the Ark of the Covenant containing the stone tablets with the 10 Commandments written by the finger of God as outlined in Exodus . Of course the ark of the covenenant and the tablets today are in the custody of the Israeli officials and this is top secret. One of Wyatt's findings was a substance he found buried under the place of Golgatha, the place recorded in the Bible where Jesus was crucified. He sent off a sample of the substance to a laboratory in Israel. They concluded the substance was indeed human blood.
The clincher?.....the blood had only 24 chromosomes. (the extra indicating he was a male). The accounts of the angel appearing to Mary in the book of Luke state that Mary would conceive of the Holy Spirit and bear a son. So might one conclude that this son would have only 1 set of human chromosomes...that from his mother? Could this be the blood of Yeshua? The finder hypothesized that after the death of Jesus, during the big earthquake recorded in the scriptures, the ground opened up where Yeshua's blood dripped down and landed on the Mercy Seat~ the very place where the High Priest had offered up the blood of the sacrifice lamb for years~ thus ratifying the covenant and fulfilling the requirement for blood atonement for all mankind.
If the reader would like to google Ron Wyatt and look further into his findings, you will see many critics who have questioned his credentials, his competence, and his honesty. It would do the reader well to look at some of the eye witness testimonies as well, the ones that Wikepedia had refused to publish at first. I have seen video testimony of Ron Wyatt discussing his findings and I find him to be truthful as well as credible. Of this I can be certain: the man found something that shook him to the core. Now deceased, it is true that Wyatt did not hold educational credentials in the area of archaeology, paleontology, or any other kind of ology, but when a famous Rabbi from Galilee who changed the face of the earth selected His disciples, He did not select from the top of the class at the local seminary, either~ He chose fishermen.
Ron Wyatt has stated that these items will resurface in the last days. He also said that those who would follow those commandments which are written in stone in the last days will be those who will not be deceived into taking the mark of the Beast. More on that later.
It is that Blood, the blood of the One who is God made flesh, Jesus Christ, which is the most powerful substance in the universe. By having faith in that blood and taking it into oneself by faith, a person can be saved, healed, cleansed, and delivered. It is the ONLY WAY to everlasting life.
The words to the hymn about the blood ring true:
What can wash away my sin?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.
What can make me whole again?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.
O precious is the flow that makes me white as snow; no other fount I know; nothing but the blood of Jesus.
